My next guest on ‘The Other Way’ with Lindsey podcast is Laura. I came across her profile on Instagram (@lauraseddon.travelwisdom) and immediately felt drawn to her story. How she’s always chosen a more nomadic path, from working on boats and in mountains, to starting two businesses and building a life on her own terms.
As someone who has lived in 6 counties and was 27 before I got my first ‘real job’, I really used to struggle with accepting this ‘Peter Pan’ part of me. So I was curious about how she navigated any doubts about her similar choices.
Laura’s story reminds us that:
It’s okay to feel like the outsider if the “normal” life doesn’t fit.
Creating your own version of success takes bravery, patience, and persistence.
Surrounding yourself with like-minded people is essential.
Doubt and uncertainty will come, but they don’t have to stop you with the right mindset and tools.
This is exactly the kind of conversation I needed in my early days of stepping away from the life I was “supposed” to want. To hear from someone who was so much more confident in following her own path and heart.
So if you’ve ever felt like you’re the ‘black sheep’ for wanting different, I hope this reminds you that you’re not alone and that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with stepping away from the flock.
If you’re someone who would like to be featured on the podcast and to share YOUR story about walking ‘the other way’ in life, then I’d love to hear from you! Send me an email or DM!
